Archie Johnston - Executive Honorary Chair

Archie Johnston is an Australian engineering academic, entrepreneur, and university leader. He is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Sydney and the University of Technology Sydney, and a former Dean of Engineering at the University of Sydney. His work spans engineering education, water and environmental systems, smart grids, and future energy technologies. He is the Founder and Managing Director of the Johnston Institute and has received numerous honours, including appointment as a Changjiang (Yangtze River) Scholar Chair Professor, one of China's highest academic distinctions. He is recognised for strengthening links between universities, industry, and international partners.

Shakil Akhtar - Honorary Chair

Shakil Akhtar is a Professor of IT and Computer Science at Clayton State University, USA, with over two decades of leadership in academia and industry, including appointments at UAE University, Central Michigan University, the University of Toledo, and Lucent Technologies. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Wayne State University and is recognized internationally for his contributions to reliability and performance modeling, mobile systems security, and computer science education. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of the ANSI Information Technology Journal and sits on the editorial and technical boards of several international journals and conferences. Since 2010, he has served as an ABET program evaluator, having assessed more than thirteen computer science programs worldwide, reflecting his standing as a respected authority in the field.

Andreas Koch - Honorary Chair

Andreas Koch brings over two decades of leadership spanning both industry and academia. He held senior industry roles including board member of Dr. Koch Computertechnik AG, Managing Director of tripleStor GmbH in Tübingen, Vice President of the Competence Center at transtec AG, and board member (Chief Customer Officer) of A3M AG – Tsunami Institute. He holds a doctorate in Physics, and since 2007 has taught and researched Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence at the Hochschule der Medien (Stuttgart Media University), Germany. He has served as Program Director (Studiendekan) of the Master's program in Audiovisual Media, and was elected Vice Dean of the Faculty of Electronic Media at HdM Stuttgart for the 2023–2027 term. He is also affiliated with HdM's Institute for Applied Artificial Intelligence (IAAI), contributing to the university's research initiatives on AI applications.
